I can't believe that today is the first day of the 4th week of school already!! The kids have adjusted into their new classes very well. Lauren even got elected to be the student council representative for her class. The girls started on Monday 7 September and Drew started on Thursday 10 September. There were no tears from anyone on the first day, which is SO exciting!! Alison walks into the same door where Lauren goes in, so she's officially a big kid now. Drew is in the nursery class again, but this year, he is one of the oldest ones whereas last year, he was one of the youngest ones. His teacher said he has been taking those duties very seriously, which I am happy to hear. He is still best buddies with Hugo, but he has been playing with another friend Reuben. I am hopeful for a great year for all three of them!
Last week, it was coming down buckets of rain when it was time for drop off at school. Oh my goodness, was it awful! Thank goodness we had wellies, umbrellas and raincoats for everyone. And the kids all had the best time because there were jumping in puddles the whole way to school. It was quite a challenge for Drew because it's quite laborious to walk to school in boots when your legs are quite short, but he managed well enough. The struggle for me what then carrying home 3 umbrellas, and 3 pairs of wellies. And thankfully, it had all cleared up by pickup time!
wellies = rain boots? You are really getting the jargon down! Glad they are doing well.
